War of Mourning Saints

This conflict arose out of a dispute about the ascension of a new Hierophant. Avindor contended that the crown of Alaecia had interfered with the selection proceess, contending that the mantle should have gone to the son of the reigning High Justice of Avindor, a Knight of Quaol and a member of the Grand Judicators. The resulting war engulfed most of the civilized world and eventually forced Avindor into an expensive war on three fronts. It was also Erith’s most divisive conflict and was the source of much of the worlds modern opinions and prejudice.
