Blue Dawn
Base of Operations: The Scarlet Grove, Iorill Forest Commonly known info: Once a small circle of druids who sought to repair Iorill forest from the ravages of the Prophet’s Crusade, their number grew until they had become a large, and dominant force in the region, controlling most of the northern points of the Iorilly Woodlands. Under the leadership of Lucien Voldranai the order took a sinister turn, dedicated only to the undermining of society and returning the world to a natural state. Master Lucien felt the world had become too corrupted to survive and and began a campaign against the Wood Elves, in an attempt to recover the Griffon’s Tear, a powerful elven artifact, and their scepter of rule. He believed the tear had the power to fuel his side projects – Lucien was obsessed with creating life. After a tense confrontation with the Baron Seinrill, he was cursed. The Baron had turned his right arm into an animated skeletal mockery that he kept hidden with leather gauntlet. His quest for vengeance and to rid the world of impurity nearly destroyed the Elves, and his defeat broke the order. Now under the command of Mina Saldson the order is once again restoring the forest from the damage it caused during the war. Goals and Ideals: With Lucien gone, the order is once again focused on the preservation, and cultivation of the natural world whenever possible. Its higher goals have been put aside for now to make amends for its crimes during the war with Iorill, and to rethink and recommit itself to a more noble purpose. Leadership: Leana Saldson serves as Arch Druid, until such time as she sees fit to pass the title on to another. Still blaming herself for her ignorance during the reign of Lucien, she has worked tirelessly to restore relations with the elves and to restore what the Blue Dawn destroyed. She has also taken an interest in understanding Lucien’s unnatural fascination with the creation of life, and more ominously the nature of his bargain with the Baron Seinrill, which according to his journals was left only partially fulfilled. Behind the Curtain Information: Mina has a daughter, Enavaya Saldson, who like her mother is a druid of the goddess of death. While wandering the forest floor around the Blue Dawn citadel, she stumbled on a terrible power. Lucien’s body was never recovered, and in the mud of the forest floor, she found the gauntlet he wore to cover Seinrill’s curse. For reasons unknown even to her, she slipped it on. Something dark now walks with the child, as she progresses down the path of not just a druid, but of a necromancer.
